These pictures are of the ECMO machine and all the other equipment that is helping Brian.

10:09 Brian started another trial. They clamped the ECMO tubes and hes on a ventilator. Hes doing the breathing all on his own with a little support from the vent. If after 4 hours hes still doing his own breathing they will take the ECMO machine away for good. That makes me nervous but its the next step for Brian.
We were able to add some encouragement to a mom who found out her unborn son has CDH. She was able to meet Brian and see how it will be for her son. We were also fortunate enough to meet a baby who was on ECMO before Brian was born. That helped so much just seeing the baby all hooked up on ECMO, it took the initial shock away when we were able to meet Brian.

  1. WOW!!!! This is such GREAT news!! It brought a smile to my face and tears to my eyes. What a strong little guy you have got. It's hard to believe he was only brought into this world 8 days ago and may be coming off ECMO. Come on Brian you can do it!!!! I think it is time for his Aunt and Uncle to make a visit! Thinking of you all
