Well hes back on ECMO. His lungs are just not doing the work. He will have another trial tomorrow using a different high frequency ventilator. We had a very honest conversation with the Dr and this is the last option. They can non longer keep him on ECMO because of the risks involved. Unfortunately some CDH cases are so severe that the baby doesn't respond to any therapy available. Unfortunately it looks like Brian falls into that category. The doctors are not at all optimistic about this final effort. We will more than likely be saying goodbye to our son tomorrow.

  16. Praying with you. Depend on God unwaveringly, even though the circumstances seem too large to comprehend. Read Psalm 77, and may you find comfort in it as you face tomorrow. Brian is such a strong little man, and we will be praying through the night for him. God is still in control, and His hand is still very much involved even though you may not see it, or sense it. He loves Brian, and created him for eternity, not just for a life here. His purposes for Brian's life have not changed, nor has His love. Take your pain to God even though none of this makes sense. God is big enough to handle your questions. We cannot by any means understand the circumstances you are facing, but we love you guys, and are praying for you.

  20. We pray you feel the strength of the many who are standing in the gap for you, believing for you and with you for the best...and thankful to our Lord for the remarkable progress your precious blessing baby Brian has already made. We pray God that You breathe the breath of life into Brian, that his lungs may be strengthened. He is in Your hands and we trust in Your love.

You are all so very loved.

  21. Sending loving thoughts your way - for peace about this. I, like another comment I read above, am also crying at work (and my coworkers are sad as well). Strangers have been praying for you. You are loved. Count the blessings in your lives as they are MANY, including your beautiful son, Brian. xo
