Before we had a chance to send the last update Brian's condition deteriorated. Unfortunately, the doctors could not get the pulmonary hypertension under control. The Nitros oxcide and medications did not do what they hoped. The doctors decided to put Brian back on ECMO. We are told the new circuit and all the fluids Brian received today will cause him to swell again. The time off ECMO gave the doctors time to reasonably determine the source of the bleed. They seem confident it can be corrected bedside. The doctors are not going to attempt another trial until next week Tuesday at the earliest. For the next few days Brian will relax and regain his strength after a very exuasting day. As disappointing as this is it is important to remember Brian is still on track. A baby with severe CDH doesn't usually get off ECMO for two weeks. Please keep your prayers and good wishes coming. Alyssa and I really appreciate each and every one of our caring friends and family.
