Brian decided after 3 hours that hes not ready to come off ECMO. He was doing well but hes just not ready to do it on his own yet. The good thing is is that he can be on ECMO for 14 days and hes still got a week to go, so no hurry. Dr. M decided it was a good idea to put the Perflubron back into is lungs. That can only help him since it expands his lungs. They might trial him in a couple of days and see how he does then.
That sounds like a safe plan. I like the "doing well" part and what a miracle that he's come this far. Keep those lungs expanding!
