Alyssa and I would like to express how thankful we are to all the people who have followed Brian's story. You have no idea how much all your prayers and comments mean to us. Your love and encouragement is what has kept us going and will get us through these tough times. We love you all!! Corey and Alyssa

We are still working on the arrangements. We know the viewing will be on Friday at 2:00 to 8:00 at William Sullivan and Son which is on 11 Mile in Royal Oak, east of Woodward. The website is www.sullivanfuneraldirectors.com. The funeral will be on Saturday but we are not yet sure where or when. We will probably have the rest of the information to post tomorrow.

  3. Corey & Alyssa,

These pictures are heartwrenching, but I know that Brian is safe and sound in the arms of his angel and is continuing to look after you. Stay strong and just know that you have a strong support group surrounding you.

    Love

  4. We hope that you too, know how much it meant to us for you to share this bittersweet element of life. It was a brief yet beautiful journey here on earth that now continues in Heaven. I've read of those who have seen a little one escorted to Heaven by the angels. If you had been able to see in the spirit realm I know you would have seen Brian being carried in the arms of the most beautiful and peaceful angel to his Heavenly Father. We on earth are so limited, but God is not, I guess that's why He's God. And why we know Brian is now wholly healed and comfortable and will see you again at that Great Reunion someday.
I understand they have the most highly rated childcare in Heaven, they say it's out of this world:) He will be perfectly taken care of.

Please know how much our hearts were knit with yours over these weeks, and what a special place you have in so many hearts. May His grace and love overwhelm you, as you have overwhelmed us by the same.

  5. Alyssa and Corey ...
    My heart aches for you!
Take peace in the fact you did everything you could as parents ... you got him to the finest medical center, with the best dr's, you were there for him day and night, and you loved him with every ounce of your being! Brain also did everything he could to stay with here you and his big brother ... he fought through ECMO, surgeries, infection, ventilators, etc.
Brian can breath easy now. No pain, no tubes .... just peace! He is craddled in the loving arms of Jesus!
You both have been such an inspiration to me! Your tireless optimism was refreshing and your strength is impressive!!!
I will pray for peace for you both.
    My deepest sympathy ....
